GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

These terms and conditions of business apply to all services of Hotel-Pension Kurfürst GmbH, in particular to the letting of hotel rooms.

Room rates are determined by the list of room rates valid at the time of occupancy. The hotel reserves the right to alter the room rates fixed in the confirmation of booking when a period of more than 4 months has elapsed between the conclusion of the contract and the rendering of the service. If value added tax is included in the price, any rise in tax in the intervening period will be charged to the customer.

PROVISION OF HOTEL ROOMS

The contract is considered to have been concluded as soon as the room has been booked and the booking confirmed by the hotel verbally, by telephone or in writing. The rooms will be available to the guest from 2pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. If there is no express agreement on a later time of arrival, the hotel reserves the right to further let rooms unoccupied after 6pm, without the guest being able to derive any claim from this. The guest does not acquire any right to cccupy any particular room(s). If particular rooms were promised in the confirmation of booking but are not available, the hotel is obliged to seek an equivalent substitute in the hotel or in other properties. In the case of stays that extend beyond the period agreed in the contract, the hotel may make additional charges i.e. 50% of the agreed room rate is to be paid upon departure before 6pm and 100% after 6pm.

If the customer wishes to pay for services in foreign currency, the official rate of exchange on the due date of payment applies, plus an 8% exchange charge.

An advance payment of 100% of the costs may be required. In the case of bookings for more than 20 people or during fairs, exhibitions and highlights in the tourist calendar, options will not become fixed reservations unless the agreed deposit has been paid by the due date. Otherwise any claim on the side of the booking party will lapse.

If a guest does not occupy the reserved room(s), he remains obliged to pay for the agreed service irrespective of the reason for the no-show. In the event of no-show and failure to cancel by the agreed date, the agreed charge - generally 80% of the total costs of the stay - is to be paid by the guest for booked or rented rooms. If the hotel is able to let the unoccupied room(s), the no-show charge to be paid is reduced by the sum so obtained.

In general, cancellation is free of charge up to 7 days before the date of arrival for individuals. In the case of group bookings, the deadline for free-of-charge cancellation is fixed in the contract. In the case of group bookings for more than 10 people, the customer will notify the hotel, at the latest 2 working days in advance of the rendering of the services, of the final number of participants in the form of a list of names to allow the hotel to make the due preparations.
